A Taste of Yoga: Intro to Melt Method

  • Rainbow Blossom Highlands 3046 Bardstown Rd Louisville United States (map)

Release tension in the body and rehydrate stressed tissues with passive restorative techniques of Melt Method. We will practice various compression techniques on the hands and feet with Melt compression balls then observe the instantly gratifying effects. These simple techniques offer a wide range of therapeutic effects, helping to ease chronic foot and hand pain and discomfort.

Instructor Bio: Katie Ward is a Louisville native but has traveled the country as a former theatrical hairdresser and wig maker. Early in her career, Katie recognized the long term postural effects of her chosen profession and became proactive in posture alignment pursuits. Her passion for alignment inspired her to become a Pilates instructor and a seeker of alignment modalities. In 2014 she discovered Bowspring, a post modern style of movement focusing utilizing the natural curves of the spine. The brave new alignment modality resonated deeply with Katie's body but completely challenged her understanding of functional alignment in the best ways! As her perspective on alignment shifted, Katie began to explore new ways of thinking and moving within the body. Introducing Melt Method into Katie's self care tool kit has been the missing link to finding simple, accessible, and effective techniques that release tension deepen the mind and body conversation.
