A Taste of Yoga: Gentle Yoga

  • Rainbow Blossom Highlands 3046 Bardstown Rd Louisville United States (map)

Gentle yoga is ideal for seniors, pregnant women, and students recovering from illness, injury or surgery. This class is also great for anyone who needs a little rest and quiet from the busy pace of life.

This class offers a slower pace with more instruction on how to use props such as the wall, blocks, blankets, and bolsters for support.

Class begins with seated meditation and conscious breathing. We’ll move through warm ups, a few standing postures, seated poses and easy inversions. Class ends in deep relaxation. Students are encouraged to bring their home yoga props.

Instructor Bio: Angela Weisser’s job as your yoga teacher is not to put you into twisted pretzel poses. Her goal is to help you create health for your body, mind and spirit through the traditional practices of yoga. Angela will show you how to get your nervous system working for you so that you can live free and feel alive, to help you have better relationships with yourself and others, and to build a body that supports your life. If you want to learn the tools that are the key to your freedom, you are invited to show up and see what’s possible.

Angela is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, and is currently working toward her RYT-500 certification. She teaches a variety of in-person classes at Yoga East and the Trager Family Jewish Community Center. Angela also teaches online through the Insight Timer app and her YouTube channel. http://www.alphawarrioryoga.com
