Class Description: If you or someone you know is in the midst of healing from any kind of loss, this class offers simple guidelines for creating a peaceful home-practice to soothe, calm, and comfort. The class will guide you through a 4-step process using Restorative yoga infused with Reiki, breath & guided meditation, mantra, and mudra. You will learn to structure your own sessions with the key elements of Comfort Yoga that will be the bones of your home practice. Restful and uplifting, this practice is offered as a support for opening the heart to light, even in dark times. The practice is beginner friendly. (75 minutes)
Instructor Bio: Susan St. Vrain MA, RYT-500, LMHC is the creator of Yoga Wisdom programs specializing in teaching deep, mindful yoga practices for those at mid-life and beyond. With 25+ years of experience teaching and practicing yoga, Susan also has an extensive background in movement/dance therapy. Although now retired, Susan's work as a mental health therapist continues to inform her work in yoga and Reiki. Yoga Wisdom practices combine the use of deep yogic processes while cultivating emotional balance and improved well-being. Susan provides individual and group yoga sessions for traumatic brain injury, teaches gentle yoga and mindful practices classes and workshops in Prospect and surrounding communities. She provides combination Reiki/yoga sessions on an individual basis.
