Prenatal Yoga is a wonderful space for pregnant mamas to come connect with one another. There will be a focus on opening and stretching the body while building strength. The class will move through active and energizing postures as well as restful and restorative movements to relieve stress and tension before coming into a deep relaxation at the end of class. In addition to providing relief from some common discomforts that come along with growing a new life, yoga during pregnancy also prepares the body for labor and delivery.
About the Instructor: Amie has been practicing yoga since 2013 and teaching since 2015. Amie has found her home within the Ashtanga yoga tradition, but still enjoys practicing and teaching traditional hatha yoga postures. After the birth of her son, Amie became interested in sharing yoga with other moms and completed her prenatal yoga training. Amie is currently teaching for the YMCA, Infinite Bliss Yoga, & Yoga East.
