HATHA YOGA

Laura will teach a traditional Hatha Yoga class. The class is for all levels including new yoga students and will teach yoga postures with correct alignment and breathing. Laura will show how fun and easy yoga can be, and it has great benefits!  Yoga builds strength, improves flexibility and reduces stress and anxiety.

Laura began practicing yoga and meditation over 40 years ago. She has been with Yoga East since 1990, starting out as a student with Yoga East's founder, Maja Trigg. Laura became President of Yoga East in 1994 when Maja retired. Laura met Shri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore in 1999 and studied with him every year until his death in 2009. Laura was Authorized by Mr. Jois in 2004, and she received Authorization Level 2 in 2009 from R. Sharath. Laura has over 10,000 hours of training and teaching experience and has trained over 100 yoga teachers since 1995. She is registered with Yoga Alliance, ERYT-500.
