Meet Mary Oliver Humke

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I provide clinical breastfeeding support to mothers and babies. Although instinctive, there is learning curve with breastfeeding and it takes some time to master. My mission is to educate and empower mamas so they are better able to reach their goals.
 
When I was a new mother working through challenges, I leaned on my lactation consultant at various points along the way. Because of her compassionate guidance, I was ultimately able to have a very fulfilling and cherished nursing experience. By the end of that first year I had decided to pursue the education and training required to become an IBCLC myself! 
 
Human milk is a living substance that changes to meet the nutritional and immunological needs of babies as they grow, with benefits that last a lifetime. I believe my work with breastfed babies is an important first contribution to a healthier community longterm. The staff in the supplements section are extremely knowledgable and I can always count on them to point my clients in the right direction. It is an honor to be a Wellness Ambassador!
