The Louisville Veggie Meetup is having a potluck on March 11, 2017. The speaker is Qigong master, Ivey Samake. According to the National Qigong Association, Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intention. The Association’s website states: “The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. It has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions.” Additional information is available at the National Qigong Association website:www.nqa.org
Master Samake is a Rainbow Blossom Wellness Center Practitioner and a certified medical Qigong instructor. She teaches people to transform their lives through her Zen Wellness Works program. You can learn more about it at www.simplytransforming.org
We’ll eat at 5 p.m. with the speaker starting at 6 p.m. Everyone should bring a vegan or vegetarian dish to share, as well as something to drink. Please bring your own plates and utensils.
