Expressive Avenues Wellness focuses on the psychosocial aspects of health; namely mental flexibility, physical perception, sensory and spatial awareness, while building healthy social connections and camaraderie.

The program is limited to 65 years old and older. It is designed to meet weekly for 10 weeks and class size is limited to 10. General health, stamina and mobility are the best determinations for participation. Mobility and health restrictions are accommodated for and are documented for statistics gathering only.

Hosted by Angie Dortch and Sharon Darrell. Angie was awarded an MFA from the University of Louisville in 1992, taught part-time for the University of Louisville for ten years and has worked in front of and behind the camera.
Sharon Darrell is registered nurse employed at the Portsmouth Naval Medical Center.
