Instructor Bio: I've been a care giver for as long as I can remember. I knew by the age of 12 I wanted to be a therapist, and for over 16 years, I've served some of the most at-risk (AND STRONG) families in our community who have experienced and survived unimaginable traumas. In my time of greatest service, I felt hope and joy slipping away because of all the heartache I'd seen. I had no one to let me know what I was experiencing was normal, or that there were very simple things I could do to care for myself. Fortunately, after finding some mentors who shared this wisdom with me, I found a personal yoga practice and became a yoga teacher myself. Today I teach yoga; provide therapy, coaching, and supervision to social service professionals; travel around the country training about the phenomenon of Vicarious Traumatization (that sense of eroded hope we get when caring for others and their pain); and train others in Reiki. Jodie Tingle-Willis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, E-RYT-200, and Reiki Master. www.Supreme-Peace-Yoga.com
