Nettle Tea Recipe

Why drink nettle tea?

It’s rich in nutrients like Vitamins C,D and K, iron, selenium, zinc, magnesium, alpha-linolenic fatty acid and multiple antioxidants. It also has many purported health benefits and has been used by cultures across the globe for centuries

Ingredients:

1 cup nettle leaves and stems

2 cups water

Honey to taste

 

Directions: 

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a sauce pan.

  2. Add 1 cup of nettles to the boiling water. Before they are cooked the leaves can cause skin irritation, so use gloves when handling them.

  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.

  4. Strain the tea into a mug, add some honey and enjoy.
